The Sweater,

A History

This lecture follows the history of the hand knit sweater beginning with the origins of knit artifacts, through developing techniques and methods of knitting, and onto modern day designs. The talk is accompanied by a power point presentation and lasts roughly one hour in length. The presentation can be tailored to add emphasis on designs or influences important to your audience.

The Advent of the Christmas Sweater

The Christmas Sweater has become a topic of conversation over the years and this lecture sheds light on the origins of many of the motifs commonly used in holiday sweater designs. From the earliest sweater depicted in artwork setting a basis for design to the mad-cap twist on the winter theme this talk pokes fun of at the season of holiday parties while enlightening audiences on the beginning of the Christmas sweater craze.
